Q: What are Mid-Single events?
A: Various activities designed to meet some of the unique needs of this specific age group.
Q: Who may attend Mid-Single events?
A: Only those Single Adults between the ages of 31 to 55.
Q: Who may participate in this program's activities?
A: All Mid Single Adults ages 31 to 55, and those called to serve within the program.
Q: Can I attend if my divorce is not yet final?
A: No, your divorce must be final before attending any event.
Q: Can I bring my children?
A: Generally no. These activities are specifically for LDS Mid Single Adults. Childcare is not provided. Most activities are not child-appropriate. However, throughout the year we do provide some activities which include children and these will be announced.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Dressy-casual clothes are suitable for Dances. Casual clothes are suitable for volleyball, hikes, etc. Church attire is requested on Sunday. Modest clothing is required at all times.
Q: What are the expected Standards?
A: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints standards of modesty and conduct are required for all attendees at all events, regardless of age (see For the Strength of Youth pamphlet).
Q: Can married persons participate?
A: Married persons should not attend (except those serving within the program).
Q: What can I expect at a dance?
A: In dances for adults, dress, grooming, lighting, dance styles, lyrics, and music should contribute to an atmosphere where the Spirit of the Lord can be present (CHI, Book 1, p.279)
Q: Why is there a fee to participate in some activities?
A: The Single Adult Program is self sustaining, fees pay for expenses only.
Q: Who presides over this program?
A: Under the direction of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Area Presidency, an Agent Stake is called to preside.
Q: What is the St. George Regional Mid Single Adult Program?
A: This program is organized to facilitate activities by and through the St. George Regional Single Adult Steering Committee. Regional "activities are held to allow single members opportunities to meet together, socialize, and serve without leaving the ecclesiastical care of their bishop." (*CHI, Book 1, p.110) - It is our sincere desire to serve the Mid Single Adult members and leaders in the St. George Regional Mid Single Adult program and to add to their stake and ward experiences.
Q: How is the Steering Committee organized?
A: The committee consists of the Agent Stake Pres., Agent Stake High Councilman, Chairman or Co-Chairs, Committee Members and sub-committees; all are called from the Regional Stakes. Subcommittees are organized and members are called as needed. Steering Committee members and sub-committee members are pre-approved through their individual Bishops, Stake Presidents and the Agent Stake.

Q: What are the committee's responsibilities?
A: To plan, organize and facilitate all activities and events for the regional program. Also, to assist, teach, and encourage Stake and Ward Single member leaders. Specific responsibilities are assigned to each member of the Steering committee.
Q: Why are some Stake activities advertised on the Regional calendar and Hotline?
A: Stakes that want to invite all Regional Mid Single Adults (ages 31-45) to participate at their activity (provided it does not conflict with Regional activities) may be advertised.
Q: How do I get to St. George?
A:St. George is about 120 miles northeast of Las Vegas, Nevada and 300 miles south of Salt Lake City right on the I-15 freeway.
